The Fanatical Gardener. Curling up with these stories was like being wrapped in a blanket in front of a fire, so heart-warming. I had planned to read them one at a time but couldn’t put them down! I had to order Gail Crane’s other books straight away! If you are looking for well-written short stories that are full of warmth and the tug of possibility, look no further.

The Fanatical Gardener. What an enjoyable collection of short stories! From the disillusions of marriage in “Dinner’s In The Oven,” to the spooky “Tomorrow Will Be Too Late,” each story contains a twist that I didn’t predict and a message I could relate to. I particularly enjoyed the innuendos of “Meeting Hector” and the supernatural qualities of “The Fanatical Gardener.” I’m glad I read this story once all my weeding for the year was over, however, as it may take me months to dare to go out in my garden again! Luckily Edie and her scooter were there in a following story to remind me to never give up on life. I would be happy to hear that any one of these stories was to be turned into a full-length novel. Well worth reading.
